Our final was a unique one. We each brought in a top ten list of the things that we felt the most impressed with the class (with each point having a substantial paragraph to explain it, of course). In class we selected three that we personally felt the most knowledgeable about, and then selected two of those, and in 5 minutes, created a 15 minute lesson plan. We then paired off and we had to teach each other about the two points that we "prepared".
To be honest, once I realized that this is what the final was (which happened in class, we were not given any warning) I was pretty nervous. I was supposed to teach for 15 minutes? How? I didn't know that much. I needed more time to prepare. Surprising to me, however, I did know the material. I taught for 15 minutes EASY and it shocked me.
So, today was a great teacher letting me know that I really did know this material - I know it forwards and backwards, like the back of my hand. I just need to trust myself and feel more confident about sharing it with the people around me when the opportunity arises.
Merry Christmas, everyone! May we all be inspired to share about the importance of families this holiday season.
