I think that the biggest thing that I learned this week (more like remembered) is that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Everyone is going through their own trials, and everything in culture boils down to the individual families within them. Social classes will always remain the same, no matter what stereotypes that may be associated with them. Everyone has their own point of view, their own set of morals and values, and that is all that matters.
This weeks focus has been on the relationships between social class, culture, and family. It surprised just how distinct these things were, how the lines didn't blur very much when talking about each one. We tend to put social class and culture together in our minds (at least I did, not meaning to rank any particular class or culture over the other, it just was that way in my mind for some reason), but the way that the family functions is usually pretty predictable, depending upon circumstances.
